JESUS CHRIST IS LORD OF ALL! The following Statement is taken directly from Jodie's previous Church, the King's Lighthouse, situated in Brits, in the North West Province of South Africa. King's Lighthouse is a member of the Africa Christian Network and is very involved in hands-on ministry work to the prisons, hospitals, and schools in our area, as well as holding crusades from our Gospel Truck. Its youth, the God Squad, are very active also, in ministry as well as in fun stuff like rock climbing. King's Lighthouse are involved with the ICBN (International Christian Business Network) and run the Lighthouse Christian College, a school for children from the age of 3 years to Matric. in STATEMENT OF FAITH: The Scriptures and the Old and New Testament are fully inspired by God, and are the final authority for faith and life. We believe in one God, existing in three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We belive that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man. We believe that God created man in His image, that man sinned, and incurred the penalty of death, physical and spiritual. All human beings inherit a sinful nature, which results (for those who have reached moral responsibility) in actual transgression and personal guilt. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, a substitutional sacrifice according to scripture, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into Heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate. We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive Jesus as their personal Saviour are born again, and become children of God. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, to empower and equip believers for service, with the accompaniment of Supernatural Gifts. We believe in the God-given ministreis of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. We believe in the resurrection of the just and the unjust. The just to eternal blessedness, and eternal banishment to those who have rejected the offer of salvation. We believe that the one true Church is all those who have been redeemed by Jesus and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Lord Jesus appointed two ordinances, baptism and the Lord's Supper, which are to be obeyed as a witness. Baptism is by immersion of the believer in water as a confession and identification with Christ in burial. The Lord's Supper is in remembrance of His death till He comes. We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. We believe that without holiness, no man can see the Lord. We believe that sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of the new birth, and consummating at the return of Jesus Christ. The Fellowship is open to any further Truth which the Holy Spirit may illuminate from the scriptures.
